Ankle is still swolen?

I sprained my ankle at basketball camp around the end of July. I let it heal for 2 days, but then i went right back on it. Ive noticed its still swollen and certain movements hurt. Ive took a few days off and its still the same. I can run and walk fine but why is it still swollen?

  1. Still have some fluid in there. Best to elevate your leg and foot while resting, and if you must walk or run, use an ankle support. You didn't let it heal long enough, and you should have iced it for the first twenty fours hours. Start soaking your foot in hot water with Epsom Salt added to it, follow the directions on the bag. Rest it and keep it elevated, and take a 600 Mg Ibuprofen which will also help with the swelling and pain. Soak the foot in the Epsom Salt at least twice a day, and take it easy at first when you go back to running and jumping and walking. Wishing you the very best sir.
