my ankle has been bothering me for a while now. it just doesnt really feel right, as if its weak and sometimes there is a shooting pain when i jump of my left leg and flick my ankle. i believe this is from me doing plyos on my carpet in my house w/o shoes (stupid mistake). where should i do plyos? outside? but i do not have boxes, how can i do them outside? also should i rest my ankle for a while, or should i start doing strengthening exercises?

  1. If you did plyos incorrectly, and you're experiencing pain, you might have sprained something or stressed that part too much. Rest a bit and let your ankle recover before you do any exercise. You might want to have a doctor look at that if it gets worse.

If your ankle can handle small/light workouts, then go ahead and do some exercises. Be very careful, though.

  2. You can do them anywhere, you may have strained it.  Do you have any old injuries to that ankle that could be flaring up?  Might just need to see the doc or you may just need to strengthen your ankle.

Here are some strengthening exercises you can do at home:

  3. Hello both rest it then strengthen it. But if your doing plyos wrong

i don,t think it matters how strong it is. it will allways hurt
