Question:

Ankles have problems?

Alright, so I play soccer.

I'm also 15

Last year I was playing soccer and my ankles started hurting everytime i ran, so I got new cleats but it didnt work, and I had to live with it for the rest of the season. But it was weird, because the season ended in december and my PE for school started in january. But whenever I ran in PE it didnt hurt.

Then I started MMA and Kickboxing in february and it didnt hurt when i was doing that either

So I started soccer again this year and my ankles are starting to hurt again, same as last year.

My dad said it could be growing pains that I have just in the Fall, but i think i did something else. I never hurt my ankle in anyway beforehand, just soccer i guess did it, just the running

any answers to what is wrong?

  1. Could be overuse of the ankles when playing soccer and causing a strain of the tendons there (an example only).

The only way to know for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation.  Let your dad know how intense the pain is.  Also, keep a written record of the pain at that time by marking the intensity using a scale of 1-10 (with 10 being the worst).

This will help both your dad and the doctor (when you do go) to get a better idea of what's going on.
