Ann Chandler clinches Women’s 100m breast-stroke heat - 2011 USA Swimming Long Course Nationals
Ann Chandler of FORDAZ secured a stunning victory in the preliminary Women’s 100m Breast-Stroke heat on day three of the 2011 USA Swimming Long Course Nationals in Paloalto, California, on Thursday, August 4.
Chandler put in her best effort and won the respective meet with a sterling time of 1 minute and 08.29 seconds. Laura Lindsay of CCSLE was placed second in 1 minute and 08.53 seconds, while Ashley Wanland of WAWI rounded out the top three on the podium in
1 minute and 08.57 seconds.
Corrie Clark of NLACMA snatched fourth place in 1 minute and 08.65 seconds, while Jessica Hardy of TROJCA picked fifth spot in 1 minute and 08.68 seconds. Laura Sogar of ABFNE was placed sixth in a time of 1 minute and 08.80 seconds, whereas, Haley Spencer
of MINNMN wound up seventh in 1 minute and 08.85. Micah Lawrence of MACNC settled eighth in a time of 1 minute and 09.08 seconds.
Ellyn Baumgardner of CUBUPV earned ninth place honours in 1 minute and 09.22 seconds, while Kasey Carlson of WCABPC grabbed tenth spot in a time of 1 minute and 09.37 seconds.
In the Women’s 100m breast-stroke B heat, BRUNCA’s Keri Hehn finished first with a time of 1 minute and 09.42 seconds. Emily Mcclellan of JHKWI was placed second in 1 minute and 09.55, while Michelle Mckeehan of ABSCGA settled third in a time of 1 minute
and 09.60 seconds.
Andrea Kropp of RTLRCA earned fourth place honours in 1 minute and 09.79 seconds, whereas, Lauren Norberg of AUBSE grabbed fifth spot in 1 minute and 09.89 seconds. Haylee Johnson of CAN finished sixth in 1 minute and 09.90 seconds. Katlin Freeman of SBACCA
earned seventh position in a time of 1 minute and 09.93 seconds, while Molly Hannis of VOLSSE finished eighth in 1 minute and 10.04 seconds.
The Women’s 100m breast-stroke C heat was captured by Ashley Danner of MASNPV with a winning time of 1 minute and 10.46 seconds. Rachel Ripley of UMIZMV and Merritt Krawczyk of PSUMA settled in a tie for second place with a time of 1 minute and 10.53 seconds.
Eve Sarris of UN03AZ was placed fourth in 1 minute and 10.56 seconds.
