Anna Dowgiert pockets Women’s 50m butterfly gold: Day four – Polish LC Championships
Anna Dowgiert of WKS"Śląsk"Wrocław pocketed gold medal of the Women’s 50m butterfly on fourth day of the Polish Long Course Championships in Olsztyn, Poland on May 15.
Dowgiert upset her challengers in the single lap butterfly event as she displayed her ruthless efforts and emerged on the finishing end for the crown of the discipline.
With her immaculate efforts, she enjoyed a comfortable lead over her challengers and tapped the finishing wall for gold medal by submitting a time of 26.50 seconds.
Her effort remained 1.35 seconds faster from her teammate, Katarzyna Staszkiewicz, who followed her on the victory stand for silver medal by reporting an effort of 27.85 seconds.
The silver medallist was trailed by Karolina Szczepaniak, who stayed 0.19 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and posted a time of 28.04 seconds for bronze medal of the discipline.
In the meantime, the arena witnessed exhausting efforts of Sara SWR Skrzydlo, who remained 0.31 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and settled on the finishing blockade as fourth position holder by producing a time of 28.35 seconds.
Fifth best spot of the event was obtained by Joanna SO Janiczek, who suffered a deficit of just 0.04 seconds from the fourth position holder and hit the finishing end with the timing of 28.39 seconds.
Janiczek was chased by Aleksandra Putra of AZS UWM Olsztyn, who stayed 0.22 seconds away and surfaced on the finishing end as sixth fastest finisher with an effort of 28.61 seconds.
Similarly, the crowd witnessed exhausting efforts of Katarzyna Ptasinska, who was just 0.09 seconds apart and finished her race in a time of 28.70 seconds for seventh position.
Eighth position of the discipline was obtained by Marcelina Radlinska, who was just 0.03 seconds slower from improving her position and posted a time of 28.73 seconds.
Radlinska was chased by Julia Jagoda and Karina Wlostowska, who ended their swims in ninth and tenth place with timings of 28.78 and 29.14 seconds, respectively.
In addition, Dowgiert was contented with her title-claiming effort in the shortest butterfly event while the winners raked medals and accolades after the session.
