Anna Kristina Rylen genealogy?

Question

I am still working on my grandmother's side of the family. Emma Sophia thor, dob 11 Apr 1890 and I am stuck at her mother.

Anna Kristina Rylen 4 Nov 1858

Vetlanda, Jonkoping, Sweden

Died: unsure

I think Anna's father was Gustava Carlsdotter, Born: 28 Nov 1822 in Jonkoping, Sweden Don't know a when he died:

I got this information from lds records. If anyone can help give me a boost again I'd appreciate it.

I think on her fathers side I found records for his parents but here is what I have there also.

This is my grandmothers father and spouse of Anna

Sven Magnus Thor Born: 28 Dec 1859 Nafvelsjo, Jonkoping, Sweden Died: 24 May 1904 Sweden . His father Gustaf Sandstedt, His mother Lena Andersdotter.

I was a bit baffled at the different last names but everywhere I check I come up with the same thing.

Also wondering if Emma has a brother born in 1902, I have all here siblings that were born up to 1890.

The Swedes didn't adopt surnames until late in the 1800's.

If Lars and Maria married and had children Alice, Barbara, Carl and Dan, they would be named

Alice Mariasdotter ("Dotter" = Daughter)

Barbara Mariasdotter

Carl Larson

Dan Larson

Alice and Barbara might be Larsdotter, too. Some Swedes named their daughters after the mom, some after the dad. The moms would be recorded under their "dotter" names in the birth records usually, not as "Mrs. Lars Oleson".

Gustava Carlsdotter was a woman. The "a" on the end is feminine and she is Carl's daughter. You either typed "Father" when you meant "Mother" or the record is a mistake. 85% of the LDS IGI is accurate, I'm told. the other 15% isn't. Even Mormons make typos.

I found four IGI citations for Emma, with two spellings of her parents:

I could not find Anna's birth record you found in the LDS site.
