Anna-Stephanie Dietterle pockets Girls 50m freestyle gold – European Junior Swimming Championships
Anna-Stephanie Dietterle of Germany pocketed gold medal of the Girls 50m freestyle on fourth day of the 2012 European Junior Swimming Championships in Antwerp, Belgium on Saturday, July 7.
Dietterle displayed her ruthless efforts in the shortest freestyle discipline as she overpowered her opponents for the crown of the event. She wasted no time and stifled hopes of her challengers in the single lap event as she proved her mettle for top spot
of the race.
The German swimmer remained just a touch away from her subsequent rival and tapped the wall with the timing of 25.40 seconds for gold medal.
The champion remained 0.25 seconds ahead of Rozaliya Nasretdinova of Russia, who accomplished silver medal of the discipline by producing a time of 25.65 seconds.
The Russian swimmer was trailed by Nastja Govejsek of Slovenia, who stayed 0.03 seconds apart and transpired on the finishing blockade for bronze medal with an effort of 25.68 seconds.
Fourth position of the discipline was secured by Giorgia Biondani of Italy, who finished her swim in fourth best place by submitting a time of 25.73 seconds.
