Annamore Swift stands first in the Grade A1 450m race at Poole
Annamore Swift heralded a huge upset on January 17 at Poole race track, when he nabbed top position by beating the most favourite competitor, Bins Gang, in a Grade A1 race of 450m category.

The triumphant greyhound competed against Castlelyons Kris, Missys Touch, Fraziers Luck, Bit View Niamh and Bins Gang, the favoured with the odds of 11 to 4.
It was an amazing race packed with twists and turns. The results surprised some and shocked others. No one from the bettors and spectators could have imagined that a novice b***h would accomplish such a mega success in her 4th race.
When the break call came at 21:22, Annamore Swift broke from trap 4. The black b***h started with tremendous speed, that aided her to dart past her opponents early in the race.
Just a few yards away from the starting point, the daughter of Swift Rush took lead. By increasing her speed to the maximum extent, she managed to maintain a wide difference of 3 lengths before reaching the wire in 26.90 seconds.
Whelped in May 2010, the trainee of J M Burridge started her career on December 17, 2011 at the same track, winning her maiden race with at least one length.
By winning yesterday’s race, the young b***h established herself as an ideal betting favourite for the upcoming races. Her trainer hoped that she would accomplish a number of iconic victories during the calendar year.
The bookies, who were reluctant to bet on her a few days back, are likely to regard Annamore Swift as favourite in the future events.
The second position went to Castlelyons Kris. The black and white dog broke from trap 1, and took 27.15 seconds to bridge the distance. The son of Black Shaw had excellent pace in the beginning, but failed to carry it forward and lagged badly.
Trained by W J Black, the dog ran for the 3rd time since making his debut on December 20, 2011. He achieved 5th position twice in his first two races. He was whelped in March 2009.
Trailed by three-quarters of a length, Missys Touch was the third top finisher in the race. The white and black b***h broke from trap 3, and reached the destination in 27.30 seconds. Whelped in May 2009, the daughter of Finmars Girl started her career
in July 2011.  She is trained by J Campbell.
Interestingly, the top favourite hound finished last. Annamore Swift bagged £103 at the end of the event.
