  1. Anne Boleyn.

Anne Boleyn is being argued as the stepmom who tortured Mary Tudor. Based on the facts that I have learned in our History class, Anne Boleyn went through h**l. Anne Boleyn was hated the whole time she was declared queen because of Catherine of Aragon's loyal followers. Anne Boleyn is still being written as a b***h by many authors like Carolyn Myers. Myers wrote that Anne was very manipulative on her novel, Mary, Bloody Mary, a noble about Mary Tudor. Anne did not deserve to be hated. After all, she's the mother of Elizabeth.

Mary Antoinette was born with wealthy and caring parents while Anne had an evil, ambitious father.

  2. I'd say they were about equal. . . Married to egotistical men that cared more about themselves instead of the people that they were responsible for. . . Unfortunately it does not seem like many modern rulers learned anything from history either :)

  3. Marie Antoinette enjoyed her beauty style, but her fashion fame came at a price. By the late 1780s, envy and hatred of Marie Antoinette were widespread. Many others among the nobility were envious of the Queen and insulted by her dismissal of court etiquette, preference for her small court circle and the patronage she wielded on their behalf.

Thus, disaffected members of the nobility became fertile sources for dirt on the queen. They fabricated and circulated scurrilous stories about the Queen and her private life. Stories accused of all sort of sexual acts with men and women of the court, of sending funds to Austria, and challenged the paternity of the royal children. She was stripped of her riches and finery, imprisoned and beheaded on charges of treason by her own subjects during the French Revolution that began in 1789.

Anne Boleyn really contributed much to her own downfall. Unlike Catherine of Aragon, Anne was more "politically involved" at Henry's court. She had much influence on the King, and his advisers became deeply concerned. She made a lot of enemies during her time as Queen, and was known to talk back to the King in public. She had numerous of times "embarrassed and insulted" Henry, which eventually led Henry and his adviser to come up with a plan to "get rid of her."

On the other hand, Henry and Anne were not pleased with married life. The royal couple enjoyed periods of calm and affection, but Henry's frequent infidelities greatly upset his new wife, who reacted with tears and rage to each new mistress. Catherine learned to accept Henry's escapades, while Anne's mad outbursts drove Henry literally insane.

  5. Anne Boleyn was the victim of a lot of ugly rumours because of the backroom wheelers and dealers.  Although she was not a popular queen by any stretch of the imagination, she also, did not deserve what became of her either.   Marie A.  never did say that famous quote about telling the peasants to eat cake!   That was the result of a hate campaign to have her removed.   Who ultimately  suffered worse?  It is very much a toss-up.  But the suggestion that Ann could ever possibly be adulterous is ridiculous - not with all the whisperings and constant attention of the court - and yet many told false tales as a result of torture or blackmail.   Her death was a result of a lot of tragic fabrications.   Marie's was a result of the unpopularity of her uncaring husband and royal family who should have listened and heeded the word of the people they were supposed to rule - and yet, history shows that they did not.

  6. Marie Antoniette she was forced to mary young and died because of it!
