  1. Well....She was a mistress who slept with a King that slept with her sister in which the King possibly fathered her sister's children.  Uck!!

According to stories, Anne appears to be a manipulator.  A person who only thought of herself.  She went after a King and nabbed him then got her head chopped off because she couldn't produce a son and she was accused of incest with her brother.

  2. I love her I havent seen the movie but I have a Ma at europian history and I love her,She was the mother of the best queen ever Elizabeth I

  3. This is just my opinion but most people on this planet don't think of Anne Boleyn at all.  English Royalty is only important to the people of England and not to the rest of the world.  The English Monarchy is only symbolic and has no power other than as a figurehead.  With that being said her story is intriguing to say the least.  She was a schemer and plotted to gain the throne and when Henry decided with the help of other court villains to divorce her she was eventually executed.  The history of English Royalty is far more detailed and exciting than any daytime soap opera ever could be.  I wish they would mke a continous series for people to watch.

  4. well after watching the other boleyn girl, i cant help but think she was a *****.....but movies arent always based on fact; so, who knows.

  5. A sorted woman.

  6. Well, here are my two cents: Anne was a decisive woman, who's often called the most powerful Queen Consort in the history of the British Monarchy.

Her depiction is the Other Boleyn Girl is utterly wrong and it would be stupid to base any opinion of her on that movie.

As for her role in the break up of the marriage of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon, it was moderate at most. Henry was already thinking about the divorce before Anne actually came to England. The divorce was caused not by Anne, but by lack of male heirs, which Henry saw as the biggest failure of his life. Anne was just at hand when he made up his mind and he probably thought she'd give him loads of pretty boys.

My personal opinion of Anne is quite high: she is among my favourite Consorts of all times.

  7. Her sister Mary aside, Henry was still married to Catherine, he pounded on the Catholic church to let him marry Catherine, then Anne comes along.  I don't think that she deserved what she got, but with Henry, it was inevitable.  She did produce the greatest monarch that England has ever seen in Elizabeth I.  She was also instrumental in producing the Church of England, because Henry decided he would have his own church that did allow him to marry Anne.

  8. a society tart

    a clever manipulater

a ghost walking the 'bloody tower' with her head tucked underneath her arm

  9. They probably wont really care. History freak here and I think she was really cool kind of a ***** though...

  10. She lost her head...

No really, reap what you sew comes to mind.

  11. I don't like her but she was the mother of Elizabeth I

  12. I don't think people would think of her if they hadn't made a movie about her recently.

  13. Well she wasn't a good sister....that's for sure

  14. I think she was intelligent and strong-willed and ambitious.  Henry admired her wit and spirit before they were married, but after marriage he expected her to be more compliant and wa sirritated when she wasn't.

However, none of that woul dhave mattered if she had born him a son.  It was her failure to produce a male heir that did for her.

She was an interesting person but I don't find her particularly likeable.  I am very sorry for Catherine of Aragon and her daughter Mary, and while it is not Anne's fault that henry was so horrible to them nevertheless she egged him on.

  15. the people who are successful write history ..............Henry could have his life depicted any way he wanted he wanted a young wife he found one ........she also couldn't give him a son which was his main concern to have an heir ........... the actions of his divorce have been laid at her feet the forming of the church of england and monarch's getting divorced if she had born a live son she would no doubt have been praised ..................................she must have had some good qualities to have passed onto her daughter by nature not nurture................................

none of us are one dimensional nor can anne have been some would have seen her as wonderful some as a harridan    some as a *****  some as a poor soul caught up in something far beyond her control

  16. I've read a book on her and she was a very deceitful and icky woman. She seduced King Henry the 8th who tossed his beloved daughter,Mary and wife, Queen Catherine aside. People knew Anne as a w***e.
