  1. If you have read the book, if you want to go, go.

If you have not read the book and/or are not really interested in going, do not go.

Many people who only go because it is a must are disappointed or, like me, hate the place.

I had to go with school, (as part of one of those awful school parties,) and I while I was impressed with the actual living space, I hated the experience of the museum as a whole.

And I have read from others here that they had a like reaction.

  2. I was there.  It was pretty interesting.  You get a feel for the real girl, not just the history and the figure that we have all gotten to know through classes, movies, plays, and the diary.  And you get to actually FEEL what it was like hiding in that narrow garrett for what was it?  Two or three years?

  3. It's definitely a must-see in Amsterdam. There are no tour guides, so I would suggest reading the book before you go, and make sure to pick up a brochure when you enter. Go early to avoid crowds. They open at 9:00. Here's a link to their website:

  4. i went there. it was pretty cool, definitely worth the money.

  5. Yes and Yes

Howver it has very small rooms and staircases. If there is a school party there, forget it.

Try to go first thing in the day when it is quiet.

  6. I've been there and it was pretty cool.

  7. If you go there, go early, because the queue outside the house can be long (wait times of up to 2 hours).

  8. Yup, been there too. You should go there it is pretty impressive. But be aware of long waiting time, because it is one of the favorite tourist spots i amsterdam, so you can get stuck in a massive queue for an hour.
