Anne Froelich claims Women’s 50yard freestyle gold – High School State Championships
Anne Froelich of ELLEN claimed gold medal of the Women’s 50yard freestyle at the 2012 High School State Championships on Saturday, November 10.
Froelich devastated hopes of her opponents in the shortest freestyle discipline as she went full rampant in the playoff to secure the title. With her epic start and strong determination, Froelich managed to outperform her toughest swimmer and reached the
wall for gold medal.
Froelich remained only an inch ahead of her following swimmer and surfaced on the finishing end for gold medal with a wonderful  timing of 25.11 seconds.
The champion was followed by Kucinski-Murphy of LW, who stayed just 0.04 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and tapped the wall for silver medal with an effort of 25.15 seconds.
Third position of the race was obtained by Kim Vincent of STEIL, who stayed 0.04 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and touched the wall for third position with an effort of 25.19 seconds.
The bronze medallist was followed by Han Willoughby of CAP, who was only 0.22 seconds apart and surfaced on the finishing end for fourth position by producing a time of 25.41 seconds.
Fifth spot of the event was obtained by Kaitlin Zinsli of LIND, who suffered a loss of 0.24 seconds from her preceding swimmer and hit the finishing end with the timing of 25.65 seconds.
Zinsli was chased by Janae Miller of MM, who stayed 0.04 seconds slower from upsetting her former finisher and surfaced on the wall as sixth fastest swimmer by clocking an effort of 25.69 seconds.
Seventh position of the event was obtained by Jessi McKinney of LW, who was 0.12 seconds slower from her former finisher and transpired on the finishing end with the timing of 25.81 seconds.
McKinney was  followed by Rose Ridder of PT, who was 0.34 seconds slower from overpowering the seventh position holder and completed her race in a time of 26.15 seconds.
In addition, Froelich received huge appreciation from the audience for her gruelling efforts and articulated that she would train harder in future to accomplish the same at elite swimming levels.
