Annesborough Joe primed to perform well at Nottingham – Retirement Trophy
Annesborough Joe is going to unleash a magnificent run at Nottingham racecourse in a bid to lift the ace title of Larna Retirement Trophy on Monday night, March 26.
The high-stakes Open Race over 305m Flat distance is scheduled to start at 21:07 (GMT).  The race has £150 in purse.
The J. B. Thompson-trained black dog will run against Bowtime Honcho, Union Jak Jakson, Outbound Stripe, Sarasota Nelson and Head Iton Lyndon.
Annesborough Joe has been winning continuously since the dawn of 2012. The veteran runner registered an epic hat-trick by grabbing top spots in three consecutive races during January-February.
The dashing dog moved forward to bag two more triumphs during the first two decades of the month of March.
Since making his debut in August 2010, the son of Head Bound out of Nikitas Rock has been performing consistently. His career chart is adorned with a number of excellent wins and runner-up ranks.
As far as tonight’s contest is concerned, Annesborough Joe is all ready to run to his best and beat his rivals daringly to seal a sterling success. His chances to finish first in the race are as high as 95 percent.
Out of the favourite hound’s competitors, Union Jak Jakson and Head Iton Lyndon look to be solid enough, and each of the duo has potential to deny victory to Thompson’s trainee.
Union Jak Jakson accomplished a marvellous hat-trick during July-August 2011. The A. Clarke-trained black and white dog went on to deliver some decent performances in the subsequent races. Recently, he bagged a big victory on March 5.
On the other hand, Head Iton Lyndon has earned two runner-up ranks coupled with one superb victory in a row since the beginning of the calendar month. The trainee of David Pruhs has also finished third each in two races during the same month.
In the light of the above analysis, it is concluded that there will be a tough tug of war between Annesborough Joe and Union Jak Jakson for top position in the race. Let us see who gains what. Good luck to the all the runners.
