  1. No, because the ushers are not in the bridal party, nor would they be at the head table. They should have been recognized in the ceremony program. They can be thanked when the bride and groom give their thanks after the dinner.

  2. Yes, usually (depending on your reception) the DJ/MC will announce the entire bridal party as they walk in.

    For instance:

(They walk in together and you say their first and last name)

Father of the Bride w/ Mother of the Bride

Father of the Groom w/ Mother of the Groom

Best man w/ Maid of Honor

    Groomsman 1 w/ Bridesmaid 1

    Groomsman 2 w/ Bridesmaid 2

    Flower Girl

    Ringer Bearer

Mr & Mrs. "Your new last name"

  3. I've seen it done both ways. (with and without)

  4. Every wedding I've gone to where the whole bridal party is announced has the guys escorting the girls in, and the DJ announces both:

"Bridesmaid Mary Smith, escorted by Groomsman John Doe."

Edit:  That's if your groomsmen were performing usher duty, which that's pretty much all I've ever seen.  If you're having separate ushers, you don't have to announcement at the reception unless you and your hubby stand up and thank them at some point in the reception.  Also, if the ushers are not also the groomsmen they don't have to have tuxes, you can just have them wear nice suits and their duties are done after they've seated everyone at the ceremony.

  5. Not usually, but I'm sure it could be done if you wanted.  Usually the bridesmaids, groomsmen and bride and groom are announced.  I'm sure if you wanted to he could say something like "and announcing the other members of the party....

  6. it's up to you.  since the ushers are paying to rent a tux like everyone else, it would be nice if they got some recognition during the reception don't you think

  7. I have heard them announce it, and I have been to wedding where they don't. I personally would announce them, it is only fair.
