Annoyed By Tornado Sirens!!!?

Is it possible to be grateful and annoyed with tornado sirens all at once?

I would be too afraid to be annoyed.  I prefer the risks of earthquakes in Southern California.

Yes, I used to live in a town that fired the sirens about every time the wind blew. The one time they did have a tornado sneak through on a Saturday mourning @ 6:00 there was no warnin'

Try having your house destroyed by a tornado and see how you feel when the sirens go off.  That happened to me and when the sirens go off a feeling of terror goes through me.  I must say though that I am from the Detroit area and we have had a lot of severe storms lately and I am getting really annoyed with that.

Yes. I know when I'm at work and they start to go off we could be in the bathrooms for hours. You are not allowed out until "All Clear" is announced over the PA. The whole time we are in there the sirens are going off. After a few minutes it can be pretty annoying. I'm not sure why they don't just turn them off.

As far as city sirens go. I wouldn't know, I live in the country.
