Everytime I click on something, there is a little gray box that surrounds the link/icon. Running Windows XP Home Edition and was wondering if there was a way to disable this thing. It's not a big deal but I would like to disable this if at all possible. Below is a screenshot of what I'm talking about. Scroll to bottom right and magnify image, gray box is around recycle bin.

  1. Not that I know of.  The 'grey box' as you call it, is XP's way of highlighting your selection -- to let you know that the 'click' has been recognized. This is particularly important with touch pads on notebook computers where just the right amount of pressure is required for the computer to sense a 'click.
