Annual Meetings of USA Volleyball approaching near
The news has been released from the head quarters of USA Volleyball (USAV) in Colorado Springs, Colo. that USAV is set to hold the annual meetings in the last week of May 2011.
Sheraton Dallas Downtown has been selected as the venue for the upcoming annual meetings, which will be organised from May 24-27. The annual meetings of USAV will feature a number of events, such as:
Region Volleyball Association Assembly (Senior & Junior) Dorothy C. Boyce Awards and Recognition Banquet Board of Directors meetings USA Volleyball Congress Stars Heritage Dinner
Things will get on the road with Region Volleyball Association Assembly, which will be held from May 24 to 26. USA Volleyball will hold its 66th Annual Dorothy C. Boyce Awards on 26th May. This event will be sponsored by Molten, while Mizuno will be regarded
as the co-sponsors. The award ceremony will officially start at 7 pm. local time.
The show will be staged at the Houston Ballroom, where the deserving individuals will get recognition. The Dr. Harold T. Friermood “Frier” Award will be the highest honour offered by USA Volleyball. This special award is reserved for someone, who has been
long attached with the sport of volleyball (minimum 30 years) and has spent 15 years in a leading role. The Stars Heritage Dinner will be held on the following day of the Annual Meetings.
Most essentially, the nominees for Dr. Harold T. Friermood “Frier” Award are kept secret until the banquet announcement but other award nominees are made clear beforehand.
This year, John Henn, John Alstrome, Ruth Nelson, Mike Hebert, Steve Crane and Russ Rose have been named for different performance awards by the USA Volleyball.
In order to attend the Annual Meetings, the general people would be required to buy tickets. USAV has made it convenient for fans to earn tickets via online sale. Fans will be allowed to register their names on the official website of USAV and purchase tickets.
Tickets for different categories will charge different amounts of money. For example, the Boyce Banquet ticket is worth $70 per person and $630 for complete table of 10 people. On the other hand, Starts Heritage Dinner will probably cost $35 per person.
The meetings will be followed by the National Open Volleyball Championships. The Dallas Convention Centre will the host the thrilling competitions from 28th May to 4th June.
