Annual salary of a cosmetologist in pa

can you make alot of money in pa as a hair dresser/beauty professional? What schools are the best to attend?

I work for an agency here in PA that requires income information and from what I am gathering they are making on average from $8.50-10 + tips.  Depending on what type of salon it is.  Where do you live in PA?

I wouldn't go the hairdresser route if I were you.  There are so many all over, there's no real demand for them.  If you do decide to attend a school, Pittsburgh Beauty Academy is great.  Maybe focus on getting certified in an area of specialty.  Maybe specialize in facials, hair removal or something.  People don't pay much for haircuts in PA.  I get mine done for $15.
