I am married to a US citizen and I got my 2 year conditional green card. My wife and I decided to get an annulment. My question is will I be able to still work and travel after the annulment? Also, will I be able to apply for a waiver for joint petition? If so, do I have to wait until the expiration of 2 year green card or can I apply for the waiver for joint petition right after the annulment? Thanks....

  1. watch out, if you get an annulment, then the marriage never existed according to immigration regualtions and presto you have no status. the CR1 was based on your marriage. no marriage no CR1.

  2. The conditions of your green card were because you were married...you get an annulment before the 2 yrs...then you will be deported.

  3. You'll lose your green card after 2 years.
