Question

im getting anoles soon and i want to breed them......... what can i do to trigger breeding??????????????????? thanx in advance!!!!

I assume they are both of breeding age and good condition?

They need to go though a &#039;cooling&#039; period to simulate winter, then as it gets warmer this imitates spring which is mating season.

For cooling - reduce the day length to 8 to 10 hours and let the night temperatures drop to 62-65 degrees for at least two months.

You then raise the temperature and prolong the day period back to 12 hours. This should stimulate mating behaviour.

Also search the internet, there is tonnes of information on breeding anoles! Hope this helps. =)
