  1. The opposite of anorexia nervosa is called muscle dysmorphia.

  2. coz girls don't play football

also, they love to throw again whatever they've eaten and starving for a good body.

as they believe it's an easier way.

  3. because guys don't want to be skinny if they want to look good fast they take steroids

    Woman: anorexia & bulima

    Men: overuse & steroids

    I hope this helps!

  4. Though incidents of these conditions are on the rise among men the root cause is based on a poor self image. Women especially white women are the largest group of people with eating disorders and all you need to do is look at the unrealistic ideals that the media projects on us. Print and broadcast paint the picture of what Beauty should be. The worst part is that for the most part women are the ones creating this ideal and pushing it on us. As men become more effeminate they too are falling into this trap but for the most part its still a woman's issue. Men can define their desirability by more than just their outward appearance, their success in business, their wealth, power, etc these are all traits that historically are points that men base their self worth on.

  5. A "big guy" (not a fat guy) is usually seen as good, whereas "big girl" is not, in most western cultures.

Males make up only about 13% of those with eating disorders.

  6. "Last year, researchers from Harvard conducted a study of eating disorders among a population of 3,000.  Twenty-five percent of those with anorexia nervosa and bulimia were men, and males made up 40 percent of binge-eaters."

25/40 percent may be a minority still, but it's a pretty hefty minority.

  7. Tracey is quite right.  The difference in numbers bewtween men and women with these condtions is not so great as many believe.  As a school counsellor, her figures roughly correlate with mine, and hospital admissions records for treatment where I live too.

Both are more common in males than we commonly suppose.

  8. I think there's a link between how men who are straight and dont care about throwing up /eating less to fit into tight jeans as opposed to g*y men *who act like women mind you, not all g*y men do * who want to fit into xtra tight jeans and do binge and throw up. and hey if im wrong, im still eating dinner tonight so all's well
