  1. Im a year and a half in - I got my weight back, my nails are doing good now, hair is shiny and soft. My muscles are terrible though and have heart issues. :/

Hair and nails are the least of your worrys, I suggest you see a Heart Specialist right away just to make sure your internally well.

BTW - Im still not 100% well - I still have thoughts and I still have to fight to eat, but its allot easier then before - Love yourself!

  2. Unfortunately I suffered for 11 years. Please don't let it get to that point. As I had done so much damage to my body for all those years it took about further 2 years until my hair was fully grown again and my skin looked healthy and my eyes were bright. It really depends on how long you have been suffering from anorexia. The longer you have been suffering and the more damage you have done to your body, the longer it will take. Therefore you should start your recovery plan as soon as possible. I ate lots of dairy products like whole milk, yoghurt, quark, cottage cheese (full fat options), fruit & veg and wholemeal bread. The dairy products enormously helped the growth of my hair and the carbohydrates gave me lots of energy. I also used vegetable oil for shallow frying food. I stick to a very varied and healthy meal plan now as well and am very happy with it. The best you can do is to eat lots of different foods . I would not recommend any additional vitamin pills. If you eat healthily, your body will get what it needs. If you need any further advice or help, please contact me. I will be happy to answer.
