Another Addition to the League Managers Association Hall of Fame
November, 22, 2010 is a date that Jose Mourinho will remember for the rest of his life. Such moments occurs very rarely in a manager’s life when he gets honored for his services in any football club. Jose Mourinho tasted what it
feels like to be in the league of extraordinary gentlemen whose contribution has been appreciated in the eyes of the League Managers Association's Hall of Fame as he joined the league on Monday. He was full of mixed emotions but above all proud to be able
to receive a gift in his life that was well deserved.
Mourinho currently in charge of the top rank team of the Spanish League Real Madrid. He a former Chelsea manager who always believed in using the football field to mark his words rather than in public and he indeed proved what
a man he is capable of. He was speaking as a guest of honor at the League Manager Association (LMA). Talking to the press at LMA’s annual HALL of Fame dinner at London’s Park Lane Hotel, he said that he is proud to have created a big history in a short period
of time. Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Matt Busby, Bob Paisley and Arsene Wenger are in the Hall of Fame and upon being rewarded to join these managers with spending just over three years in the Barclays Premier League, he is extremely proud. He has won the Champions
league in Portugal and Italy and considers the time he spent in the Barclays league, the best time of his career.
Mourinho has a home in London where he lives with his family. During the dinner, he also praised the passion of England supporters to the leagues and moreover to the game of football. Further adding the help and support he received
from Sir Bobby Robson at Barcelona, he praised the efforts of LMA over their encouragement and supportive gestures to young coaches who wants to be managers.
All the managers attending the LMA’s annual dinner praised the contribution of Mourinho to the game, especially when Sir Alex Ferguson comments were found keen of seeking Mourinho side on the field in the future. Mourinho used
the platform to express his feelings of great fullness to have worked with his former team Chelsea and wished them best of luck in the future.
During his early career, he always felt a great amount of pressure as he was not a great profile player and after joining the management at an early stage of his football career, he had a huge responsibility of proving himself
as a manager. Now, he wishes to seek a long term future in football and wishes to contribute a lot through his management skills. He is looking forward to assist Real Madrid during his tenure as a manager and was looking forward to a great game against their
historical rival Barcelona. With the honor of managing teams like Chelsea and Inter Milan, only time will tell what results Mourinho contributions in Real Madrid would produce in the future.
