  1. um depends...it might only take 2 years becuase you probably have alot of the general ed credits from getting your first B.A.

you need to talk to a college admissions officer about that

  2. i know some people are saying it's a waste and that you should just get a masters instead. but i know there are definately some degrees out there in which a masters would be completely pointless because you still wouldn't be able to do anything with it.

i had a friend who was a geography major or something along those lines... it was a REALLY ambiguous degree that he had no idea what to do with. he decided right before he graduated that he would double major simply because he realized there was really no use for his degree in what he wanted to do - which was IT (information technology) ... he all of a sudden gained a lot of interest in IT the middle of his senior year and realized there'd be a lot more job opportunities in that field... certainly a lot more than geography. so instead of getting his masters in something he realized he had no interest in doing, he got a 2nd major in IT. now he's done, and working in the IT dept. for a great company and it took him only 2 extra years since all his general studies was done.

  3. why not just go for a master's degree

  4. What a waste of money to get another BA degree. Get a masters and you may find it is easier ... although the thesis you do at the end can be a real chore.

The classes are typically smaller and the subject area much more narrow. To spend more money on a second ba is like having a major and a minor - no thrill to either really. Get a masters. It will make you more attractive and command a higher pay scale.

If I saw a person with two b.a. degrees, I couldn't help but think that perhaps you were not that confident in your skills.
