Sorry to bother you all with another camcorder question, but it is something I'd like to know.

Like I said in my other question, the camcorder or about 19 and half years old. 20 years in September. I was just wondering how to get videos from the old cassette tapes onto the computer?

NOTE: Like I said, the tapes are all home videos/work of my family. I do not intend to create copyright infringement from ANY company. This stuff is solely home videos.

EDIT:

I took several pictures of the camcorder, but I collaged them into one.

  1. you have to buy a analog to digital capture card for you computer and install it/have it installed. The best are Hauppauge or All-In-Wonder. The cards come with capture software. Once you have a digital file you can upload to youtube or write to dvd (assuming you have a dvd writer). Nero 6 is good, cheap software for editing and writing to dvd, about $20 on ebay.
