  1. say your going to slide on a hard wood floor in your house...

which foot would you put forward?

    goofy is your right foot

    regular is your left

  2. There are a bunch of ways you can figure that out.

    - run and slide on a wood/tile floor, whichever foot goes out first is going to be your front foot

    - have a friend give you a push from behind, whichever foot goes out to catch you is your front foot

    - get up on a chair or stair or something and step down, whichever foot goes down first is your front foot.

Regular stance means left foot forward, goofy is left.  If you pick wrong and it doesn't feel comfortable when you're riding it's not a big deal and they' should be able to swap the bindings around or give you a different board no problem (I did that at Mt Washington).
