Another HVAC question...PLEASE HELP its sooo hot in here!!?

ok ive asked a question about my air unit not blowing cool air...well hardly any air at all. got some helpful answers but i need to know....does the pilot light have to be lit for the air conditioner to work properly? or is that only for the furnace?

  1. no, that is just for heat, but it does need to be lit for hot water to heat


  2. You may need to call the AC man. Check your air conditioner's filter(s) and make sure they're clean. If that doesn't help, it may need a recharge on freon or the condenser may not be working properly. Good luck!

  3. No the pilot light doesn't need to be lit. It is for the furnace only.
