Another Kidney infection question...?

My doctor said I may have an early kidney infection, does this mean it can get worse or will I have to go in for an IV?! He gave me a perscription of Cephalexin (sp) for like 10 days but will it clear up my kidney infection, or just the bladder infection. I have an infection we find out tomorrow where it is either in the kidney's or bladder.

both aren't good and i am not sure which way he will turn to fix it but if its bladder or whatever you can be signs of diabetics that is what they do also. having alot of them that is what i would check next.

I was on Cephalexin also, and it went away only for a while,

and then came back twice after that.. Now I have the pain

all the time.. Its scarey, there are certain antibiotics that

the doctors can prescribe for just kidney and bladder

infections.. Doxiclycline is one of them, but I couldn't take

it due to an allergy to it.. Good Luck.. I know how you feel :(

The antibiotics your doctor prescribed should clear up your infection completely, whether it be kidney or bladder.  Just make sure you finish the course of antibiotics.
