Another New York Yankees departs as Nick Swisher signs with Cleveland Indians – MLB Update
The New York Yankees need to worry as future Major League Baseball season might be a tough one to battle out as their two good players have signed with different teams.
“I can’t have that complicate my ability to get what I want, We’ll need something for the DH spot as well, but the most important aspect right now is finding a right-handed bat in the outfield,” general manager Brian Cashman said Sunday as he is also slight
worried on the developing situation.
News is coming in the media that Yankees right handed hitter Raul Ibanez and Nick Swisher has signed with two different teams. Ibanez had signed with the Seattle Mariners while Nick Swisher now will play for the Cleveland Indians.
Both Yankees players were considered a solid shield in the team but now they will play without these two players who have won many games for them.
Raul Ibanez, a hard hitter and highly experienced campaigner, is considered one of the very best players in the Major League. He was exceptional in 2012 MLB campaign where he achieved .240 hitting average along 19 homers, 62 RBIs and .308 OBP.
Not only in the previous season, but Ibanez, has also been exceptional during his 16-year Major League career. His career hitting average is consistent at .278 hitting average along with 271 home runs, 1116 RBIs and .340 OBP.
Recently, Yankees GM Cashman said for Ibanez, “We never made an offer, I have to see how much money I have left. I don’t have an unlimited budget.”
On the other hand, along with Ibanez, former Yankees’ Nick Swisher has signed with the Cleveland Indians.
“Wow! What a crazy few weeks, Hey Cleveland! Are you ready? Because I’m coming home!” Swisher said on Sunday via Twitter.
Swisher also tweeted with jubilation, “Thank you NY for the kindness & support you’ve shown me the past 4 years, It’s been an amazing experience & I’ve loved every minute of it!”
Nick Swisher also achieved consistent numbers and earned appreciation from many experts. He finished the season achieving .272 hitting average along with 24 home runs, 93 RBIs and .364 OBP.
