Another Poker question for poker players?

Question

In a No limit Hold'em Sit n go tournament what is the "ante"? or the "running ante" i know how the blinds work but i thought the Ante was only used in Omaha and not texas hold'em

The ante is the quantity the house (or website i.e. Coral) takes from every table, in a contest which is $10 & $1 the house take $1 from each Poker Players, in a cash game where you can join or leave at anytime it’s a organization ante, anywhere they take currency from each pot! http://www.pokerplayerslounge.org

There will be more and more antes in all the games. FTP already has antes in "normal" cash games. Antes creates action.
I'm sure there will be stradle sometime too, which will create even more action.
