An off-spin bowler & useful tail end bat, I played for my domestic team, my country & an English county. I was also an expert close in fielder, & played my first test match v NZ at 20 yrs of age. I have been both vice captain & captain of my national side, & captained my country at 2 world cups. After I retired I became a cricket administrator & team manager of my country's XI.I took up umpiring & in 2003, I was honoured with a special award.

    Born on the 21st of April 1945(age 63) in Madras, India

    He played for, Tamil Madu, Derbyshire, and also the Indian national cricket team.

    The award he got was the Padma Shri in 2003. and according to Wikipedia He is a mechanical engineer by profession.
