Another Whoopi Golberg movie question ?

I have spent way too much time trying to find this online. A movie where Whoopi takes a job as a live-in nurse for a big-name soap opera personality (like Dana Delaney?) who has been crippled and moved back to her Louisiana home.

There is a scene where they are in a rowboat on the bayou sharing some "girl stuff".

Seems like the title was something about fish-kiss or love-fish, or something like that.

Could not find anything in Whoopi's filmography that may relate to this.

1- what is the title?

2- why-the-heck is it not listed?

That wasn't Whoopi Goldberg. That was Alfre Woodard and the film was <"Down In the Delta" with Mary Mc Donagh. She plays a down on her luck woman who takes a job taking care of a paraplegic soap opera star who's having difficulty(and who's extremly difficult) adjusting to life as a cripple. Slowly,they discover that hey're more different than alike. This wonderful film didn't do box office but it's worthwhile watching

You are thinking of Passion Fish (1992) with another well recognized, black actress by the name of Alfre Woodward.   That's why you can't find the movie under Whoopi Goldberg's filmography.

May-Alice Culhane was a successful soap opera star, but a car accident has left her bound to a wheelchair. She returns to her now-empty family home in the bayous of Louisiana which she had eagerly left years before. She drinks heavily and vents her bitterness on the succession of nurses who are hired to take care of her and immediately quit because she is so unbearable. Chantelle is the latest of these nurses, and May-Alice is told that Chantelle is the last nurse she'll get. Chantelle for reasons of her own, is also in a position where she badly needs the job to work out. The movie focuses on how these two women become friends and help each other heal emotionally. It stars Mary McDonnell as May-Alice Culhane and Alfre Woodard as Chantelle.
