Another Wise Kid keen to break failure jinx
Since September 2011, Another Wise Kid has not won a single race. This severe lean patch is greatly disappointing to his trainer, Paul Midgley, and fans who were amused to see him thriving consistently during the last year.
The bay gelding has gone through many intense training sessions from time to time. As he prepares to run the Nicholsons of Stalham JCB Dealers Handicap at Yarmouth racecourse today, the four-year-old veteran horse is h**l- bent to end his failure streak by wresting the ace title from the jaws of half a dozen rivals.
Some sport analysts claim that this is an ideal chance for Another Wise Kid to put a full stop before his bad patch as his entire opposition is slack. Moreover, the race conditions also go to his favour----he has done well over good to firm surfaces mostly.
Thus, it is assumed that the kid of Whipper out of Romancing will unleash his utmost firepower over 5 furlongs and 43 yards with his eyes on the prize cheque worth £4,075.
The talented Irish horse picked up some confidence by finishing second in his last outing entitled as Betfred Sharples Group Handicap (Div I) that went down at Haydock on September 7.
During the last week, Another Wise Kid had some extensive drills that might have improved his stamina to some extent.
The Paul Kavanagh bred gelding’s last victory came on September 24, 2011. That was the SIS Live Handicap (Div I), held at Ripon.
Since the dawn of the calendar year, he has run for seven times but in vain. This is the reason the trainer has decided to replace his regular jockey, Micky Fenton, with Ted Durcan who nicely rode Mafeteng to win a big race at York on September 9.
This change is likely to be greatly beneficial for the gelding. Thus, Another Wise Kid has all the chances to thrive. A lot of hopes are hinged on him. Many punters have staked their money on his success. Let us see how better he cashes on this situation. Good luck to the horse along with the other six contestants.
