Question:

Another airline pet question?

I posted a question earlier about dog travel and I found that Delta will allow me to keep her with me under the seat during the flight, so that makes me feel a little bit more at ease...but she barks with the best of them if you know what I mean. She is not at all a mean dog, when she meets new people all they need to do is pet her and she is perfectly fine after that...but I can't really have an entire airplane full of people petting her...so my question is...am I allowed to have a shock collar on her while on the airplane? Some of you will say that shock collars are bad but I personally don't belive they are if you use them correctly. If I am not allowed to use them does anyone have any alternative ideas to keep her from barking?

  1. You can ask your vet for a light sedative.  Many people give their dogs/cats a light sedative to help ease the stress of air-travel on their pets.

You can also try putting a blanket over her carrier so she doesn't see whats going on around her.
