  1. that's appalling!!

he got £163,000 for those horrific injuries, whereas a transsexual para was awarded over £250,000 for 'hurt' feelings

  2. and the iraq lad that got his legs blown off when a british shell accidently went off near him came over here got medical treatment andwas awarded 3 million??????????????

    this government f***king stinks

i apologise if i have offended anyone with my ranting but...well....you know, enoughs enough

  3. The guy was injured fighting for what this government stands for. Its typical of this country. The lad deserves more than £260,000.

  4. good on him lets hope he gets the full amount

  5. Look at him...do you really think he will have a "normal' Life after that?

What girl would marry a guy with a "Wool Stocking Cap" on his head and wearing that Multicolored Rainbow Shirt?? How g*y is that?

    He looks OLD, and GRODY

And He is ONLY 24 years old !

That's what that fire did to him ! Destroyed his life ! His WHOLE life not just a part of it !

He deserves FULL Compensation just like that "legless" man over there that gave his legs for his country and the Queen.

  6. I dont really know how to answer this..its appaling...

    typical of the british gov..

  7. Disgusting, he needs a decent payout to help support him in the future, I'm not sure what kind of a job he will be able to do with those injuries, they are pretty horrific. And what about the emotional and psychological scars? He deserves far more than this pathetic government are prepared to pay.

Perhaps if he was a muslim who had inadvertently been offered bacon for his breakfast, he might be paid more for the ordeal? (sarcasm)

  8. this government needs to be kicked out of office --TODAY.

  9. Did you know that as part of these terror detention laws - if some one is held more than 14 days and not charged they will recieve....

    £3000 per day compensation!!

    £156,000 for the max term.

    How does that compare?

  10. Peter thank you for drawing attention to this article. I think that in the passed the ministry of defence and the government relied on the fact soldiers and families would not dispute any compensation on offer. However due to media exposure of late to the plight of our armed forces the wounded service personnel are better informed of their rights. Therefore and rightfully so will not let their employers away with not paying out the maximum compensation.

Really it beggars belief that our boys even have to seek legal representation to get the correct level of compensation.

  11. It is a joke. You hear all the time of people being given hundreds of thousands of pounds in compensation for discrimination etc which and yet soldiers with with terrible, severely life-altering injuries are given a pittance.

  12. the uk goverment is trying its hardest to help him, its been on the news many times.

to be honest the uk's goverment is one of the normalist compared to america;s - i mean BUSH come on, he ruined so many peoples lifes
