  1. They should have arrested her and through her in Guantanamo. Thats what most libs think what happens anyway.

  2. So, privacy of a few people who use a public-owned computer is more important than finding a missing 12-year-old?

  3. What privacy is associated with library computers?

Yeah, they should gotten a search warrant sooner, but I think they should have taken their legal chances and bypassed the "citizen with some backbone".

In this matter it was counter-productive and it served no purpose to prevent access to the computers.

  4. Just another example of a liberal defending the notion of privacy that does not exist. If you use a public termanal then be prepared for some one to see it some day. If you want privacy stay home. Once you leave your house you are public.

There is not right to privacy guarenteed in the Bill of Rights.

Are public libraries safe havens for people to swap child p**n or for potential terrorists to chat and swap information? I do not think so.

Last time I checked Libraries are funded by tax payers thus making them govt entities. If this was a private residence then a warrant was needed. I guess we know where the priorities of liberals in vermont are when it comes to defending children that are born. Way to go Vermont. San Fransisco has a homeless problem because they cater to them and now Vermont is the child abuse capital of America.

So what part of if a private home a warrent should be assertained in a legal way not make my point for me? Libraries are tax funded not privately funded thus privacy should not be expected. Criminals then could use libraries to do their dirty deeds with impunity. Must be nice not to have kids to have to worry about some pervert abusing them. Why do liberals always defend the criminals and attack the victims? Libs are idiots and deserve what they get for caring about such dirt bags.

  5. a_wood is missing the point.....it isn't about trading privacy against a person's life....it's about the law.

The law says you need a warrant and the law should be upheld, by everyone.

You can't pick and choose which laws you follow to suit yourself, maybe someone else might pick different laws than you.

Then in effect we have no laws.

The police should do their job properly to start with and not whinge when they don't and get caught out.

  6. Yeah, that's Vermont for you, child sexual abuse capital of the country.

I'd have hit that woman if that had been my missing 12 yr. old daughter.

    Sickening.

  7. The police should have obtained the warrant in the first place, and, under the circumstances involved, they would have had NO problem in doing so.
