  1. First of all don't waste your money on horse that is not rideable.  I am not thinking you are going to get this horse rideable in 3 months.  Half lease you split the horses expenses.  If you do any kind of lease get a contract between you and the owner of what is expected of you, i.e how many times you get to ride the horse, what you are expected to pay for, like vet bills, shoeing etc.

  2. ...Yeah...you need lessons first...

You can't just ride without knowing what you're doing...

Especially when you don't know WHAT IT MEANS.

EDIT: "i'm an advanced rider and the horse i'm thinking of leasing is not ridable"

If you are an advanced rider, why do you need lessons? Why don't you know what leasing is?

And to top it all off, why are you leasing a horse you can't ride?

  3. i am confused

you are an advanced rider yet you dont know what leasing is and the horse you might lease is not rideable and you only want to lease for three months

  4. ok why dont you find a horse that is rideable for half lease?

    Or just lease

  5. A half lease is where two people share the horse. Each person pays half of the cost to full lease... (ex. full ease costs 500, each person pays $250.) I would definitely take lessons. You can't get on a horse without knowing what you're doing and expect him to ride like any ordinary horse!! I would also recommend holding off with leasing unless you've taken a good 2 years of lessons. Just my opinion. But either way good luck! (=

  6. You don't sound very experienced, sorry. Don't lease a horse, take lessons.

  7. A half lease usualy is that you share the horse with some one else, you usualy pay half off all expensives. You sound like a new rider so i wouldnt recomend leasing a horse. I would defiantly take lesson for atleast a year before even considering leasing oir buying a horse. That way you can learn stuff and be more prepared. Lessons are great fun and if you deside to take lessons make sure you get along well with the person giveing the lesson or else you wont have as much fun.

  8. a half lease is when someone has a horse that they want someone else to share the horse with them,it might be that they dont have enough time to look after the horse on there own so they need someone else to help out. i think that if you want to ride that it might be a waste of time looking after a horse u cant ride when u could spend the money on lessons but if you only have the horse for 3months then thats fine its all experienace and u can also have lessons but if i understand u right the person u might be leasing this horse off wants $100 and for you to only look after it for 3months and also the horse isnt ridable then if it was me i would think that if ive got to look after this horse that i cant ride and i only get the horse for 3months then in a way shouldnt the person that owns it be paying u to look after it?! do u see what i mean?so i would look into it abit more first and i would look around for any other share loans where u can ride the horse.goodluck anyway i hope it works out!
