How many of you are pleased you voted for Labor again? Interest rates and inflation are on the rise and only after 100 days in power, and you can't blame it ALL on international pressure this time.

Just for the record I do not belong to any political party, I am just a worker trying to survive.

  1. interest rates are determined by the reserve bank through the forces of supply and demand, the gov't is powerless against rises

  2. Rudd is hopeless... so is Iemma... I have more skills than the 2 of em put together...

Rudd has no idea how to manage an economy... get ready for the recession... wait for it... not long now.... (we'll call it the Rudd-cession haha)

oh if you have any rainy day funds, you might wanna invest in USD for when our dollar skydives and you'll make a heap

  3. Howard deceptively boasted that he could control rates to win an election and lost face for it.

These recent rates rises were on the way no matter who got into government. Economic cycles don't turn all the way overnight, you know. Yes I am very pleased I voted Labor because as things get tougher... it would be much harder trying to pay off a mortgage if your overtime penalties got scrapped under Workchoices.
