  1. 4x^2+7x=0

    x(4x+7)=0

    x=0,   and  4x+7=0

                      4x=-7

                      x=-7/4

  2. 4x² + 7x = 0

    Factor.  The two factors of this are x and 4x+7.  So…

    x=0 or 4x+7=0

    You should be able to solve for the other value of x from there.

  3. Factor out an x to get:

    x(4x + 7) = 0

    x=0

    4x + 7 = 0

    4x = -7

    x = -7/4

    Have a good day!
