  1. Forget about The Sunshine Boys, there's no part for you in it.  Depending on how mature a 16 year old you are, there MIGHT be a part in Arms and the Man, but with Shaw, command of the language, stage presence and experience are crucial.  I don't know the other two shows, but look into them and familiarize yourself with them.

Don't get married to any particular interpretation of a character, consider all the possibilities so when the director asks you to read it a certain way, you can. "Taking direction" is a huge plus in a less-seasoned actor, as is fearlessness-- make strong choices.

Oh, and every actor should have an appropriate comedic, dramatic, and classical monologue at the ready.

    Good luck.

  2. If you're able to, get ahold of the scripts and familiarize yourself with them. You won't be expected to show up to this audition with anything memorized, but if you understand what the shows and the characters are all about it'll be easier to show the auditioners what they're looking for.

  3. first things first stay calm these things are hard. Try to research something about what you are doing. Then try to base a monologue on that fact I have been trying for a while too but best hope to you maybe you will be better then me jk

    GOOD LUCK

  4. YES!!! if you come to an audition without a monologue you will be ridiculed. unless it specifically said on the audition info sheet not to prepare one.
