Another phrase for it's raining cats and dogs?

Instead of "it's raining cats and dogs" I am trying to think of another phrase to use for when it is raining heavily. Anyone have anything?

    torrents - plural noun

    large amounts: torrents of rain

    The rain came down/fell in torrents.

    Then there is also the old 'CALIFORNIA joke' that is a play on words:

    It always rains in Torrance.  

    (The reference being to the city of Torrance, California.)

    One night when I thought it was only a light shower, my friend was telling me how bad the rain is, so I opened the door and said "OH MY GOODNESS IT'S RAINING MEN OUT HERE!"
