I know, you must think I'm a fugitive or something with all of these. I'm just a writer who has no experience with the law enforcement...give it a few months, once I'm 18 I'm society's problem! Mwuahahaha!!! Oh...back to question, if a sheriff or small town police dept. were to pick up some fugitives that needed to be transferred to an FBI place, what paper work would the sheriff/officers need to fill out?

  1. There is very little paperwork on a warrant. You just document the arrest, and lodge the fugitives in jail. If it is a federal warrant, the US Marshalls come get them.

  2. Only your arrest report and a statement of Probable Cause (PC) for you to be at the location of the arrest and to know that the person arrested is the person named on the warrant.

The feds who come pick up the fugitive get all the paper work then...

  3. Assuming they were picked up on a warrant - we would file an arrest report - for arrest on warrant.
