  1. My period tends to flow heavier if I'm moving around as opposed to sitting or lying down. Just remember gravity, if you're laying down and you stand up you might get a little rush. As for how long you can keep a tampon in, they say six hours but it's ok to leave them in overnight. Just remember that the longer its in there the more chance there is of infection such as TSS (although this is pretty rare these days) or of the tampon leaking. Anyways, if you have even a moderate flow you will need to change it every 2-4 hours depending. You can feel it when it starts to leak. (I'd recommend still wearing some sort of panty liner).

  2. a) Congrats, you're a woman now. :)

    b) I don't think it does.

    c) 3-8 hours, more than 8 is pushing it.

    d) Hot water can help with cramps. You didn't ask about it but I figured it's worth posting.

  3. Heya,

It generally helps a tiny bit but not much your flow still carries on. And you should keep a tampon in for no more than 2-4 hours. You can wear them in bed but make sure you put a fresh one in before you go to bed and as soon as you get up replace with a fresh one, but this is not a general rule you should basically take it out is and when needed. But leave it no longer than 4 hours to be on the safe side.

May i suggest perhaps having a word with your mom or close female relative in order for your mind to be put to rest on this issue.

    Hope i helped

  4. It does slow down a bit when you are not very active. And you can leave it in for 8 hours.

  5. no and u can keep tampons in 4 up to 8 hours usually but if ur flow is heavier u might have 2 change it more often...so yea 8.

  6. yea, when u sit down your flow does stop a little bit.    i think it stops more for me beaucse when i stand up i cant feel all the blood.   ;(       lol

  7. congratulations, you are a women now, not a girl.

    I think it helps a little,but not a lot.

and my mom says not to use a tampon first thing.

but if you keep it in longer than 8 hours you get some kind of infection so don't wear them to sleep, hope this help!

  8. it helps slow it down a tiny bit, but not much. you can keep tampons in for up to eight hours.

  9. It does not stop the flow when you sit down. End. Of. Story.

The longest recommended is four hours... to be extra careful change the tampon every visit to the bathroom.

Make sure you ALWAYS change it on time, or you could get TSS(toxic shock syndrome).
