I knew every since I was alittle girl, I wanted to name my babygirl Isabella, but now its so overused it saddens me cause I don't feel like naming her like that anymore. So I've been thinking about other names, does the name Ariel sound tacky? I also like Adrianna? What are some cool baby girl names??

  1. isabella is a ok name i only know one person called that or  isabell, isa is nice too, but u have to remember try give ur child a name thats not to easy to take the mick of is a bell .i like unusual names like madison, good luck

  2. I think that whatever you want to name her is great but instead of Isabella give it a little twist like different spellings or something unique because after you name a kid everone is gonna take the name anyways

  3. maybe

    Ellie

    Ella

    Belle

    Bella

Ariel reminds me of a mermaid, so yeah it sounds kinda tacky.

But I love Isabella. Just call her Izzie. That would work!! =]

  4. Are you pregnant right now? If not then maybe the fad will have died down by the time you are expecting a girl.

There's also Isobel, which is just as pretty and not as common.

Ariel is a little tacky, yes. Mermaid jokes galore. Adrianna is nice.

For some cool names I would recommend this book: http://www.amazon.com/Cool-Names-Pamela-...

It's pretty cool, lots of different styles listed and so on.

You can also go to http://www.nymbler.com and enter a few of your faves and it will generate a list of names you might like too. Great little site. :)

  5. How are you planning on pronouncing Ariel?  If it's AIR-ee-el, I hate it.  If it's a-ree-EL, I like it.

Adrianna is okay, but a little fussy.  Here's a link to the US's SSA list of the top 1000.  You can pick any year from 1880 to 2007 to look at.  This way, you can get a feel for which names are very popular, with several different spellings (Haylie, Isabel Riley) and which names are less popular, but still very cool.

    Just

  6. i like all of those names. Isabella is a pretty name. You could call her bella for short :)

  7. Don't pick Ariel! That's all I can say.

  8. I love Isabella! I know it's popular, but I'd still use it! shouldn't stop you :)

    Adrianna is beautiful.

    so is Arianna

  9. I like the name Adrianna but I like it pronounced Adri-on-a the best.

How about the name Justine? It's different but not unheard of. Or Colee...that's a cute name. I know a Nicole and her nickname is Colee.

  10. I like adriana, ariana, Alanna.  I think Isabella is beautiful, and not at all overused in my opinion.  I only know on Isabell.  I also like theodora.

  11. Ariel and Adrianna are ok, i prefer Adrianna.

What about Iris or Ivy if you still want an "i" name?

    Good luck :)

  12. I like ariel and audrianna

some of my favorites are Natalia Wynne and Emeline Deirdre

my favorite boys name are Jathon Alexander and Justin Vincent

  13. Go with Isabella. Or, how about something similar: Isla Belle, Emma Belle,

Emmabelle, Evabelle, Maribel, and so on?

  14. if you like adrianna.

first of all, spell it adriana and pronounce it ay-dree-ann-ah.

    not  ay-dree-ohn-ah.

  15. adrianna, alexis, ambree, kylinn, paige, brooklynn, ryanne, khloe, kallye, hallie.

  16. I love Adrianna, it so pretty. But I like some names too like Elise which i don't hear too much, Lila (or Delilah) which is nice and sounds like it can trasition well when she grows up. i also like Kaiyah (Chyah) and Lorelei (althought i think i spelled that wrong.)

  17. Ariella Rose is cool

    Isabella Jade is lovely

    Alexis Anne is sweet

  18. Personally, even though Isabella's popularity has grown, you should still use it! It's a beautiful name. I also love the name Adrianna, classy and beautiful.

  19. Isabella is a beautiful name and I don't think its overused. I say go for Isabella and give her a unique middle name maybe. Not to be rude but I hate Ariel

  20. I was the same way.

Than I fell in love with the name Annabel.

I love the name Ariel, and I know a little girl name Arabella, and they call her Ariel.

If you really like the name Isabella, you could go with:

    Gabriella

    Sabella

    Corabella

    Maybelle

    Jezibella

  21. Ariel is cute but Aurielle is a lot less common. Adrianna is okay but I don't really like it.
