if someone was to only have a period 2 times a year usually 6 months apart and by random flook fell pregnant on one of them times of ovulation (as you would only ov twice) would it still be easy to read on a hpt or would it prob take a bit longer to come up as you wont ovulate for another 6 months?? (just a question, not for me)

  1. The HPT would show up around 14 days after ovulation/fertilization, which would be about 4-6 days after implantation so no, it won't take any longer for you to be able to test than for anyone else. The fetus begins making hCG as soon as it implants, which is between 8 and 10 days after ovulation in 84% of pregnancies. Once it's being made, you can test for it and expect a pretty reliable result. Having said that, a few women never show hCG in their urine and need to have it confirmed by blood test.

  2. you can take an htp around 2 or 3 weeks after s*x and/or ovulation to determine pregnancy. donst matter if you are not going to ovulate for another 6 months or not. if you are pregnant, you are pregnant and a test will show it shorty after ovulation.
