The laptop from my previous question is new. My old one also ran on the e668 network, but it never needed a key, and I'm pretty sure its not my neighbors network...I also dont have a router, I have a wireless modem. So, could i possibly contact my internet provider for the network key? Thanks...

  1. If your wireless router has a password, then your internet provider won't be able to help you out. If you still have it, look at the manual and reset the thing. This will get you to the original set up and you can enter a new password for the network.

    Good luck!

  2. That's the easy answer yes call them. If Im correct your modem/router is a spin off of a linksys, plug into it (ethernet) open internet browser and type 192.168.1.1 if you are prompted for a user name and password this could be good. If you are prompted, look for a "reset" button, usually a small pinhole, reset router settings, then log into it, default user name is blank (don't type anything) password is admin

IM me if you do this, I'll walk u through setting it up and securing it..
