For tennis we have to run a mile.

We can't do it, we have slim chances of making the team.

Well I am not thebest runner...and on the first day of try outs[[today]] I got sick while running. I phrased it that way so no one got grossed out. haha.

Kay well I have to go back tomorrow, any tips for running?

  1. Start out slow to loosen the muscles and then start to speed up gradually.

If you feel like quitting, try getting a song stuck into your head, something you can hum to to take your mind of stopping.

If you can't get a song in your head, try finding someone in your group to keep up with when running.

    Hope this helps

  2. What you want to do is eat something light like a yogurt one hour before you run, and drink plenty of water the day before you run and the day you run, dont drink too much 30 minutes before you go.  Then be sure to stretch for about 15 minutes.  Then comes your run where you want to start out at a gradual pace, and about a half a mile through pick it up, then towards teh end you'll have enough energy to put in a nice kick.  You do this and I guartentee you'll be fine.

  3. try eating some fruit and drinking some water an hour before you run and maybe start with a slower pace at the start of the mile
