I asked again awhile ago but my little girl is 3 months and she has a runny nose and coughing she has no fever and this gets worse at night like most sickness does. Would you let your child still get shots? She doesn't feel good and I am afraid if I let her get them tomorrow then she is going to be measurable. I was thinking of waiting till next week to get the shots and letting the doctor give me some medication for her now. What is your opion? ( Only Positive ones please!)

  1. while it's probably safe to get shots, i think i would put it off until she's feeling better.

  2. I would wait a week. One week isn't going to hurt anything.

And when we got shots, we got 2 from the series, and then waited a week and went back for the other 2, so we had less fever and crankiness.

  3. A physician will not give any vaccines to anyone who has any signs of illness or fever- don't even bother going in.  Check back in a week, and if she's feeling better, then she's good to go!  Good luck!

  4. i dont think a baby is allowed to get shots unless they are healthy. i'm not sure if a cold counts though. i would call ahead tomorrow and talk to the doc/nurse and see what they say. i would be warry of getting the shots while immunity is already low though.

  5. My doctor will not give shots if baby is sick, or has any cold symptoms.  She is actually about 2-3 weeks behind schedule for every shot, as she was sick for the first one and it was delayed.  The doctor said to me it was no big deal to delay until baby is healthy.  Good luck!
