Thanks to all for helping me try to solve the "shaking while idling problem". I have taken purchase the air mass flow cleaner. Now here's the dumb question: Where is my air mass flow sensor? The manual that came w/the car from the previous owner does not have an under-the-hood diagram.

  1. Not sure of the year on this but check link.

  2. Come off your air filter box and follow it on around , u will see a unit that is not quite square , gotta bit of a triangle square look. If that makes any sense. that is you air mass meter , spray that with some carb and choke cleaner (or what you got) and you are done, also you will see black color smoke come out your exhaust so don't be alarmed at first . Scared me the first time. When you spray it undo the part that leads into the air filter you want the spray to suck into the engine. It's tricky have it in such a way where you can get the spray in and still have the hose connected enough for the car to run.

NOw it will shake and shimmy for the first 30 sec to minute that is the cleaning stage and the smoke will come then the smoke becomes lighter gray that's good then you are okay - throttle her up. See how she rides. Address any additional problems at that time. Let me know if I can help.

To help you out it is the second diagram the air mass meter is number 7/17 and you can see it coming straight off the air filter.
