Another rainy race awaits f1 cars in Brazil
Yet another rainy weekend waits for the Formula One cars. The 2010 Brazilian Grand Prix is to be unwrapped this weekend at the Interlagos Circuit, amidst a lot of thrill and fervour. To further enchase the drama and action the Brazilian sky is getting ready
to pour down on the ramping cars at the 18th round of the season.
This is the third consecutive destination of the Formula One caravan which is to embrace them with heavy rain showers. The Japanese Grand Prix held at the start of November saw thick clouds on its Suzuka circuit. On the other hand, the last race held in
Korea, marking the first race on its soil, also took place under thick seeping clouds, marking amazing and unforgettable races of the season. The track was already very slippery owing to the recent completion of construction work and the heavy rainfall further
worsened the situation.
The race cars were seen slipping and sliding off the track. One after the other drivers kept going wide off the track due to the tough driving situation.
Now, once again the teams are getting prepared and making the right arrangements to face another rain-filled race weekend. As per the early reports Interlagos is going to meet the cars with heavy rain showers. Well, this part of the year is normally wet
in Brazil and weather changes very dramatically and is quite unpredictable.
However, as per the local forecast, heavy rain fall is expected on Friday and Saturday while a mild or no rain is likely to pour on the final race Sunday.
Still, the news of rainy Saturday is not welcomed by the teams as they have already experienced a very poor day before the Japanese Grand Prix. The third practice before the race got cancelled while the qualifying took place on Sunday, just ahead of the
race.
Moreover, last year's Brazilian Grand Prix also saw a rainy Saturday, due to which the qualifying session was badly affected. However, the rainy Brazilian race in 2008 was surely an unforgettable one as the McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton cruised through
the storm to snatch away his first world title during his second season with the sport. Moreover, this title has also marked him as the youngest World Champion of the series.
The next race expects to see Hamilton and Fernando Alonso once again leading the assembly of the cars as they have both proved to be really good on rainy tracks.
